A cada 23 minutos um jovem negro é assassinado no Brasil. Nos EUA um jovem negro tem nove vezes mais chance de ser morto pela polícia do que um jovem não negro.

Durante a performance “All of which are american dreams” a artista compartilha com o público alguns dados que explicitam a desigualdade de liberdade e valorização da vida negra no Brasil e EUA. Logo após o público é convidado a brindar junto à artista a vida de todas as pessoas negras que estão morrendo enquanto esta performance acontece.
Entre brindes e a exposição crua do extermínio das vidas negras, a artista confronta o ethos do “sonho americano” sob a mira de uma arma de fogo.

Trabalho realizado durante residência em Art Omi, Ghent, Nova Iorque.

O nome “All of which are american dreams” foi obtido de canção homônima, da banda norte americana Rage Against the Machine.

All of which are american dreams [2018]

Every 23 minutes a young black person is murdered in Brazil, and in the US, a young black person is nine times more likely to be killed by the police than a non-black youth.

During the performance “All of which are american dreams” the artist shared with the public data that exposes the inequality of freedom and matter of Black lives in Brazil and the USA, and soon after the public was invited by the artist to make a toast to the life of all black people who were dying while this performance happened.

Between toasts and the raw exposure of the extermination of Black lives, the artist confronts the ethos of the “American dream” under the aim of a firearm.

The name “All of which are american dreams” was obtained from the homonymous song of the north american band Rage Against the Machine.
